Week 19 & 20
GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP PROJECT The Grade 3s were asked to research the Australian Wildfires and share what they learned. The students decided they had to do something to help the poor animals and people of Australia, let's have an RBES Bake Sale with all proceeds going towards helping the animals and people of Australia. Next, it was research time. The students were asked to get into group of three and choose an Australian animal that has been affected by the Australian wildfires. They needed to find information on the appearance, habitat, diet and some interesting facts of their animal. Once they found the appropriate amount of information, the groups created a slideshow that will be shared with classes around the school early next week. Lastly, the students shared their plan with the rest of the school at assembly and encouraged their peers to bring in $1 to buy something from the Bake Sale. Their goal is to reach $1000.
